Artist's Comments

FUN FACT: I've noticed that if you search for "Princess Zelda" on google.com, this drawing will be found among the first 4 suggestions.

UPDATE NOTE: This piece has been abandoned. I've already posted a sketch and lineart. I'm currently coloring it, it can be found here: http://link-theguy.deviantart.com/art/WIP-New-Princess-Zelda-TP-125767220

Princess Zelda from Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

This piece has been abandoned - keep that in mind before you comment...

Long time no update, huh?
Anyway I did some minor facial changes, and serval color and contrast changes. I fixed her nose shape, chin/jaw shape and mouth position. Plus I ajusted hair, amor and skin contrast. Especially on the skin which had alot of shady and highlighted areas, now it's more realistic.

v.06 description:
I know it's been a while - I've been busy with all kinds of stuff, like finding a proper job, spending time with my girlfriend, drinking booze etc. Actually I've made most of these changes a while ago and just didn't get the time to upload. I've colored the left glove, added some of the coloring to the gown (no, it's not supposed to be that dark), I've worked some more on the metal work and started coloring the rose.

v.05 description:
Okay, I've finished the lineart, and done som detail work on the left pauldron and upper dress.. (I keep forgetting what it's called) I've also drawn the lower part of her hair/braid and colored - not as good looking as the first hair.. but I've actually forgotten how I did the hair to start with. I've also started working on the jewel on the left pauldron, but it's not finished yet.. I still have to make it "shine up/sparkle" and come to life. In v.04 I actually changed the color of her skin.. to a more pale tone.. I've changed that back again as it appearently was the window light that tricked me.

For those who's favourited and commented so far, thanks for your support and input. Some have helped me, while others haven't.

v.04 description:
I can't remember the changes from v.01 to v.04 actually, but I guess I've done most of the upper dress part as well as the left (Zelda's right) pauldron. I've also done some more of the lineart. I've drawn the left (again, Zelda's right) hair band.

Please tell me what you think, just keep in mind I've not finished the gold pauldrons and dress. Actually.. nothings finished yet.

It's late, comment comes soon.. again..

:bulletgreen: What did I do..?
I first started sketching as it was about time for me to do some Twilight Princess fanart - I do know I still have a Link drawing in progress, but that was drawn back when I started working on my skills. I may or may not return to that drawing to finish it later.
Anyway, I managed to do a sketch that I was somewhat happy with so I scanned the thing and started inking it. I've only draw the upper body so far, it's really a full body image.
I've started shading and coloring the tiarra, hair, jewels, armor parts and skin. I started on the hair, which in the start actually looked kinda dull, but I've managed to get it look somewhat better by adding more highlights and shades here and there - especially around the egdes to make it look more smooth and realistic. I'm pretty happy about the tiarra, I guess I managed to shade/highlight it pretty decently, atleast the frontpart. The chest jewelery is somewhat alright too, but I'm not 100% happy about it - I might try fix it later. The jewels, they're pretty nice, right? Guess I managed to make them look pretty alright. Eyes, yeah - those who saw the other upload (the desktop one) may notice how I've changed the eyes - personally I think they look much better now. The skin.. well.. dunno really what I think, I don't think it looks too good - I'll see what I can do later.

:bulletgreen: What-to-do-list:
:bulletred: First of all I need to finish the lineart/inking.. this is not just a upper body image, but a full body image.
:bulletred: Shading and coloring ofcourse.
:bulletred: Ajusting details here and there.
:bulletred: ..and more..

Feel free to favourite it if you like it, but I suggest waiting untill it's finished or atleast more detailed than now.

READ BEFORE COMMENTING!:
:bulletred: Comments like: "Nice", "Sweet", "Nice boobs" etc doesn't really help me, and I get comments like these serval times a day - I do like when you comment, but please post something more usefull.
:bulletred: I'm not interested in comments where you flame/bash my drawing style - I DRAW this way, if it doesn't suit your taste simply don't comment - critique is alright to a sertain degree - that is, keep it constructive.
:bulletred: Comments like: "Her boobs looks redicolus", "Her face needs detail" or "Her hands/feet look wrong" does NOT help me and is NOT considered constructive critique, if you really want to help me please pinpoint what's bothering you, and suggest me how to improve the drawing.

ONCE AGAIN! THIS PIECE HAS BEEN ABANDONED! I WON'T EVER FINISH THIS!!! New version can be found here: http://link-theguy.deviantart.com/art/WIP-New-Princess-Zelda-TP-125767220
